Chicago has many established music scenes. Jazz, blues, house music and punk all have a rich history in the city, and the 20-year-old DePaul University student is helping shape the music scene for a new generation.

Schmidt hosts his own college radio show of Mother Night Radio Hour. publishes an art magazine called unsolved. He’s in a band called Post Office Winter, where he hosts live performances with other bands straight from his apartment and streams them on his YouTube show. new now.
