Williamsport Music Club to perform free, public concert Tuesday | News, Sports, Jobs



The Williamsport Music Club continues its sacred music theme in January. The month began by hosting the community’s Messiah Sing Along, conducted by Kent Weaver, with hymns sung for residents at the Heritage Springs Memory Care. concludes with a program of “Harmony of Gratitude to Sacred Music” Faxon-Kenmar UMC, 1301 Clayton Ave., To be announced Tuesday, January 24 at 7:00 pm This program is free and open to the public.

The program is chaired by WMC President Catherine Cimini. Evening greetings are Greta Elliot and Trish Whelan. Song of the Month is presented by Charles Getchell and Scott Shell.sing with all participants “Hymn to the Country” Music by Ludwig van Beethoven.

Memories of past members are shared by Jessica Heath’s Lois Williams and Camille Crane’s Lisa Keyser.

The program continues with performances by David Koskey (piano) and Rob Wozniak (drums). “I am redeemed” Arranged by Mark Hayes.

Scott Shell sings and plays guitar on original songs “Everything… Seasons.”

Tenor Nick Biddle sings with an arrangement by Joseph Martin. “It is well in my soul.”

Guest performers Kindred Spirits play and sing bluegrass arrangements. “Shall we gather at the river?” By Robert Lowry.

small ensemble sings “Peace: Traditional Latin” Susan Phillips solo, by Lee Dengler. “Ave Maria” Performed by tenor Ryan Workman. Thomas Wetzel, piano. and Ashley Tobin on violin.

Then you hear a piano solo performed by Thomas Wetzel. “Portrait of grace”.

Lara Denoon (soprano) and Rebecca Denoon (piano) “blessing” By Jobe, Carnes, Brown and Furtick.

tenor Wayne Harris sings “The King Comes” Co-starred with David Kosky.David then plays the organ piece “Rephrase of the Song of Joy” By Arrival Hegarty.

“prayer” Foster, Sager and Testa are performed by tenor Ryan Workman. Susan Phillips, soprano; and David Kosky, piano.

WMC vocal ensemble sings Gaither classics “Because he is alive” The program concludes with tenor Wayne Harris singing. “Holy City” Accompanied by David Kosky on piano.

Afterword, “He keeps singing me” Played by Stan Pesel, played by Kosky and Wozniak.
