Wet Leg Win Best Alternative Music Performance + Best Alternative Album at 2023 Grammy Awards

It was banner night for Wet Leg, who won both alternative rock categories. They won Grammy Awards for Best Alternative Music Album and Best Alternative Music Performance.

The awards were announced during a live pre-ceremony that began at 3:30 PM ET. The ceremony will announce dozens of other category winners ahead of the event, which will be televised on his CBS and his Paramount+ with his host Trevor Noah from 8 p.m. ET .

For Best Alternative Music Performance, Wet Leg beat out Arctic Monkeys, Big Thief, Florence + The Machine, and Yeah Yeah Yeahs for ‘Chaise Longue’.

For Best Alternative Music Album, their self-titled release surpassed albums by Arctic Monkeys, Big Thief, Björk and Yeah Yeah Yeahs.

Singer Ryan Teasdale, who agreed to join the group, was a little taken aback and commented: what are you doing here I don’t know, but here I am. I was very surprised this year. It’s amazing to see such a small British band and being on tour wouldn’t have been possible without an amazing crew. ”
