Korean rapper CAMO has released a new music video for “Mapsi.” In this new song, the Seoul-based artist, who first rose to prominence in 2020 with her breakout track “Life Is Wet,” looks back on her journey since then and her plans to continue dropping new music.
The high-production music video opens with a scene of CAMO firing from two giant blowtorches before delving into a fast-paced, punchy flurry of bars. It cuts into the suitcase opening, revealing a pile of money, over which the snake slides.
The visuals were directed by Corio, with creative direction and A&R by Torsten “Octose” Ingvarsen. Doomer Fits was responsible for the street-ready styling of the CAMO.
The hard-hitting track, produced by 808 Mafia’s MP808, appears as the first single from CAMO’s upcoming album, Pressure Makes Diamonds. “Mapsi” means “fashionable” in Korean. The song is his one of 13 tracks that make up his LP, which blends R&B, rap, and Korean hip-hop sounds.
