The theme for the 67th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest in Liverpool in May has been revealed, including the slogan “United By Music”.
The new slogan marks the unique partnership between the UK, Ukraine and host city Liverpool, bringing the Eurovision Song Contest to a global audience and demonstrating the incredible power of music to bring communities together. It also reflects the very origins of the contest, which was developed to bring Europe closer together through a shared TV experience in different countries.
With over 160 million viewers watching last year, the vibrant and wide-ranging identity look celebrates this shared cultural experience as “millions of hearts come together.”
Inspired by the Ukrainian and British flags, the colors are designed to reflect the fun and diversity of the competition.
A colorful ECG (electrocardiogram) effect generates a series of hearts, each responding to rhythm and sound to mark the collective heartbeat of all Eurovision contestants and viewers. We are all “United by Music”. The typeface used is called ‘Penny Lane’ and was inspired by her 20th-century cast-iron signs displaying Liverpool’s street names, paying tribute to the city’s rich musical heritage.
Designed through a creative partnership between the UK’s Superunion Agency and Ukrainian creative studio Starlight Creative, the new brand will debut at the official Eurovision Song Contest at the handover and allocation draw show tonight from 20:00 CET. catch the eye of the viewer.
