A little over a month after Blink-182’s long-awaited reunion tour with Tom DeLonge, drummer Travis Barker has revealed he was injured during rehearsals ahead of the tour.
Barker first shared his anguish over the injury by tweeting the cryptic “Fuck” on Twitter Tuesday afternoon (February 7), after many followers on the social media site reached out. , Barker clarified exactly what happened. He “was hitting the drums in rehearsal yesterday and hit his finger so hard that it dislocated and tore his ligament.”
The drummer hasn’t elaborated on how the injury will affect him going forward, but it could at least be painful if Barker continues to drum for the tour.
After posting about his injury, Barker received a number of wishes, including one from Avenged Sevenfold’s M. Shadows. “Damn, there’s nothing worse than a lingering injury on tour,” Shadows said, adding, “Get better soon,” with a fist emoji.
Blink-182’s next tour begins March 11th in Tijuana, Mexico. Tickets for the race are available here.
