Tom Morello Wrote a Song With Post Malone, Thinks It Could Be the Next ‘Beat It’


In an interview on the Allison Hagendorf Show podcast, Rage Against the Machine’s Tom Morello said: guitar world He thinks he and megastar Post Malone will write a song together and become a commercial musician to rival Michael Jackson’s smash hit “Beat It,” featuring Eddie Van Halen.

However, Posty needs to finish work on the track before anyone else can do that assessment fairly. This is what Morello consistently asks of him.

In the same way that Post Malone has an affinity for rock and metal music, Morello is keen to offer his services to other artists’ songs. Appeared in Gossip. “We made some pretty good jams,” Morello reveals (transcript is guitar world), “to me [it] For him it felt like his ‘Beat It’ [by] Michael Jackson — Big pop star who paired up with Eddie Van Halen to do something no one expected. “This could be your ‘Beat It’!”

“He just never finishes a song,” laments the Rage icon.

Morello recalls how the collaboration came about: I heard that he likes rock music and passed by, but he was a wonderful person. First of all he is a nice and nice person. he is trippy He had guitar skills and drum skills, you know…he had Coors his lights skills! [Laughs] There was a guy whose only job was to make sure he had a stack of cold Coors Lights… it took about four hours sitting with the Coors Lights before we did the recording.

Unfortunately, there hasn’t been much progress since that night, and Morello encourages musicians to finish it every time they see them. He’s like, ‘Yeah man, I’m going to do that. “Okay,” I said, laughing, he added, “That’s sick!”

Acknowledging Post Malone’s faith in rock and metal, Morello continues. Powerful, but I can’t explain why he didn’t finish the damn song so the world could enjoy it. ”

After breaking news of this unreleased (and unfortunately unfinished) track, Morello seems as desperate for the collaboration to get out there as he has countless fans.

And could it rival Michael Jackson’s 1982s smash hit, “Beat It”? thrillerThe song itself has been certified eight times platinum by the RIAA and has topped several charts around the world.?
