THE SIMON & GARFUNKEL STORY to Play at Music Hall in March


The internationally acclaimed hit theater show The Simon & Garfunkel Story traverses the United States in music halls on Saturday, March 18, in more than 50 cities, including Detroit. The immersive, concert-style theater show chronicles the incredible journey shared by folk-rock duo Paul Simon and Art His Garfunkel. It tells the story of his humble beginnings as Tom and Jerry, his incredible success as one of the best-selling musical groups of the ’60s, and his dramatic split in 1970. At the 1981 Central Park reunion, he was attended by over 500,000 fans. Tickets for The Simon & Garfunkel Story go on general sale Friday, January 13, and can be purchased online at Ticketmaster.com, BroadwayinDetroit.com, and in person at Fisher Theater His Box at his office.

The show uses state-of-the-art video projections, photography and original film footage. She also performs all her hits full live, including “Mrs. Robinson,” “Cecilia,” “Bridge Over Troubled Water,” and “Homeward Bound.”

With over 100 million album sales since 1965, Simon & Garfunkel’s impeccable harmonies and poignant songwriting have made them one of the most successful folk-rock duos of all time. Over the years, they have won her ten Grammy Awards and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990. In 1977, the Brit Awards honored their ‘Bridge Over Troubled Water’ album for Best International Album. In 2003, Simon & Garfunkel received a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, and the following year, “The Sound of Silence” received a Grammy Hall of Fame Award.
