The internationally acclaimed hit theater show The Simon & Garfunkel Story traverses the United States in music halls on Saturday, March 18, in more than 50 cities, including Detroit. The immersive, concert-style theater show chronicles the incredible journey shared by folk-rock duo Paul Simon and Art His Garfunkel. It tells the story of his humble beginnings as Tom and Jerry, his incredible success as one of the best-selling musical groups of the ’60s, and his dramatic split in 1970. At the 1981 Central Park reunion, he was attended by over 500,000 fans. With over 100 million album sales since 1965, Simon & Garfunkel’s impeccable harmonies and poignant songwriting have made them one of the most successful folk-rock duos of all time.
