Taylor Swift kicked off the 2023 Grammys night with a pre-television win and a glimmering walk down the red carpet.
The “anti-hero” hitmaker won a Grammy Award for Best Music Video for “All to Well: The Short Film,” which she wrote, directed and starred in alongside Sadie Sink and Dylan O’Brien. The honor was revealed during her pre-event Grammy premiere ceremony for Primetime.
“I can’t put into words what this means to me,” Swift wrote on Twitter Sunday night (February 5). “I am overwhelmed that @RecordingAcad and my peers have recognized me as a director and, in doing so, my work in trying to bring my music back. Thank you to all the fans who wanted us.”
There were many proud fan tweets for Swift, and there was one supporter answer with pictures “All Too Well: The Short Film” cupcake and message “SO PROUD OF YOU!!! I love you forever” another fan surrounded by red March“I showed up all afternoon!!!! IM SO HAPPY ALL TOO WELL TOO WELL TOO SHORT FILM IT got the recognition it deserves. I can’t wait to see all the magic you create.”
Incidentally, Swift made her way to the red carpet tonight shortly after the “All Too Well: The Short Film” awards were announced.
“Taylor waited until she won a Grammy to show up on the red carpet and she’s iconic.” pointed out by a fan.
Swift hit the Grammy Awards red carpet in a glowing midnight blue two-piece gown featuring a cropped top and long skirt. Her glamorous look was matched with her signature red lip, her hair pinned up, and her statement earrings.
“Excuse me Taylor??” another fan tweeted, sharing an extreme close-up of her earrings. “Say the colors of 1989 now,” read one comment, suggesting Earring could be referring to one or both of the albums she has yet to release a re-recording of “Taylor’s Version.” I guessed.
