Rihanna has “no updates” on new music after headlining the Super Bowl halftime show over the weekend.
The Umbrella hitmaker wowed the crowd with an energetic performance Sunday night at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.
However, in an interview on Good Morning America that aired Monday, Rihanna insisted she’s not looking to release a new album just yet.
“(Fans) are waiting. We’re actually excited to release new music, but we don’t have any updates on that yet,” she said.
Rihanna and her rapper boyfriend A$AP Rocky welcomed their first child, a son, last May.
And the Barbados star admitted he was very overwhelmed by the idea of headlining the Super Bowl halftime show when he was first offered the opportunity.
“There were a lot of things I had to get over[to do this]. I literally just became a mother and hadn’t been on tour in seven years,” the 34-year-old continued. It was one of the things I knew would be a challenge to go to.”
Last October, Rihanna released “Lift Me Up” from the soundtrack to Black Panther Wakanda Forever.
The song marked her first new single as lead artist since 2016.
