This brings Kelly’s total time in prison to 31 years, making him eligible for release when he turns 80.

Previously, prosecutors had asked the singer to be given 25 years in prison in a row, but his defense had argued for a 10-year prison sentence that was served at the same time.

Kelly, once one of the world’s biggest R&B stars, faced a total of 13 counts during his trial in Chicago, but was acquitted of other charges, including conspiracy to obstruct a trial in 2008. rice field. and child attraction fees.

He was convicted in New York in June 2022 after being convicted of one count of racketeering and eight counts of violating the Sex Trafficking Act.
