Playboi Carti appeared to be teasing the imminent release of new music on Twitter on Sunday. “It’s time,” he wrote to his over two million followers.
“I love all my supporters,” Carti wrote on Christmas. “It’s time.”
“Hello Twitter,” he added in another tweet.
Fans of Carti’s music were ecstatic in response to the post.
“I don’t know how much my heart can take Mr. Carter,” one user replied.
Another wrote:
“Oh my god, when Playboi Carti stops by for Christmas tonight, I’ll be recording a video rapping along to the whole lotta red, but I’ll mute the music for you guys, so it’s just my a cappella,” he tweeted.
In addition to tweeting, Carti relaunched her Instagram account on Christmas Eve. Using this account, he shared a screenshot of the play button above the equalizer image. He also changed his profile picture on his social media pages.
Despite numerous posts, Carti has yet to release new music as of Sunday night.
Carti’s post comes two years after he released his last studio album. Whole Lotta Red, December 25, 2020. The project debuted at the top of the US Billboard 200 while gaining 100,000 album worth of units. Featuring Kanye West, Kid Cudi and Future.
