Patti LaBelle is open to finding love.
During an appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show Wednesday, host Jennifer asked if the 30-year-old divorced from Armstead Edwards in 2003 was interested in dating.
“Okay, okay. How old am I? 78,” Patty replied. “I have been married to a wonderful man for 32 years and we are still friends and good friends. I think there is, and it was great, but I’m too good at being alone.”
Jennifer also asked the singer if she’d tried dating apps.
“What is that?” she laughed before the TV host explained the concept.
“Oh, that thing. I’ve seen that commercial,” Patti continues, noting that she already has a potential suitor in mind. It is the job.”
Elsewhere in the conversation, the star revealed that she wants either Fantasia Barrino or Redisi to play her in a future biopic.
“They can sing. They’re great. I love those women,” she praised. That’s why I don’t want you to make any mistakes that I might have made, so you’re going to get the truth from Mr. Patty Patty.
