Paramore is finally back! The trio, consisting of Hayley Williams, Zach Farro, and Taylor York, have returned to their first album together after a six-year hiatus. this is the reasonon Friday (Feb. 10) via Atlantic Records.
“‘This Is Why’ was the last song I wrote for the album. To be honest, I was tired of writing the lyrics, but Taylor told Zach and I that we should work on this final idea. He convinced me that it was,” Williams previously said of the album’s title track in a press release. “That’s where the title track for the whole album came from, summing up the ridiculous plethora of emotions that are the rollercoaster of living in 2022 that we’ve survived the last three or four years alone.” After an emerging pandemic and a global pandemic with imminent doom for a dying planet, you would think that deep down humans would have found themselves to be more kind and empathetic.”
Paramore last released an album as a band in 2017. after laughter, featuring songs such as “Hard Times” and “Rose-Colored Boy”. Since then, Williams has released his own solo albums, armor petals2020, Faro released a number of solo works under the name Halfnoise.
