Iggy Pop: “Every Loser”
The year of music kicks off in January with the latest release from Iggy Pop, the “Godfather of Punk.”
After the jazz-rock style of 2019’s album Free, the lead single ‘Frenzy’ hints at a return to the 75-year-old’s famously shirtless roots.
Pop’s new album, titled Every Loser, features guest appearances including Guns N’ Roses bassist Duff McKagan and Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith.

Fans got a preview of some tracks from The Cure’s European tour later in 2022.
Depeche Mode: ‘Memento Mori’
Following the sudden death of founding member and keyboardist Andrew Fletcher in May 2022, Depeche Mode are now a duo.

Rolling Stones new album
The Rolling Stones are busy in the studio too. In late October, a tweet from Keith Richards’ official Twitter account heralded, “There’s a new sound on the horizon!”
This is a real treat for Stones fans who haven’t released a new original song in over 18 years.
2016’s “Blue & Lonesome” was a collection of old blues songs. The last album of original songs was 2005’s “The Bigger Bang”.
Rumor has it that the new album has a bit of a Jamaican influence and is bass-heavy.
British tabloid newspaper Sun quotes guitarist Ronnie Wood as saying that “some tracks” include drum parts Charlie Watts recorded before his death in 2021.
Kylie Minogue is back in the recording studio
You’re never too old to be a pop princess. At least if the name is Kylie Minogue. This 54-year-old Australian has long held top chart positions with each of her new releases. Well, her next album following 2020’s ‘Disco’ could be her next chartbuster.
