“It’s a labor of love, and for some reason we change it every year,” Buck said. “It used to be a simple show at the Lighthouse, then moved to City Tree Lighting at Pier Plaza. We do both live shows and live streams, and it’s really cool to be able to bring together so many creative minds here in the South Bay.
“With Russ Gilbert and his technical livestream prowess, the HMC crew (Steve Aguilar and Zeal Levin mixing the sounds) and my wife (Caroline Buck), she runs the world.
“We built HMC for these,” says Sousa. “We are very excited to host a community event to support local charities. Lots of great music, lots of great people.”
Project Barley served beer, and taco trucks served hawker tacos.
Chamber of Commerce Chairman Jessica Acamando opened the door with her sponsor, SkyOne Federal Credit Union’s Franco Ayala.
