December is a month full of celebrations! As we finalize our holiday plans in the coming weeks, we’ll be adding some new songs to our holiday playlist. The new music offerings are great for the whole family and a welcome departure from the holiday classics you hear in every store.
The first new song is the new single “Celebrate Kwanzaa”.
The beginning of Kwanzaa is at hand. This holiday we have new songs to entertain the kids. An annual holiday that celebrates and affirms African family and social values is celebrated for a full week from December 26th to January 1st.
This year, bass legend Divinity Roxx and reggae artist Aaron Nigel Smith are thrilled to share a new single that tells them all about Kwanzaa.
“Two Grammy-nominated family music performers have teamed up on this song to shed light on the seven principles celebrated in the last week of December,” the press release reads. I’m here.
In addition to the song, Rocks and Smith also produced a holiday segment for Sirius XM’s Kids Place Live channel. Ujamaa (cooperative economics), Nia (purpose), Kumba (creativity), Imani (faith).
“Celebrate Kwanzaa” is currently streaming on Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube.
Up next is a new holiday album titled “Oy Vey!” Another Christmas Album”
Grammy Award winner Joanie Leeds and Grammy Award nominee Fyütch have teamed up to create a unique holiday album that turns classic Christmas tunes written by Jewish songwriters into bright, cheery remakes.
“As a child, I often felt left out around Christmas. I was in the school choir and sang 10 Christmas songs each year. He probably also sang “I Have a Little Dreidel.” Surprise and excitement to find out that some of the best Christmas music has been written by Jewish songwriters.
“I love contributing to the holiday season and am excited to share with the world the projects I am passionate about, and to write new projects as well, especially in the face of rising anti-Semitism.”
In addition to remaking the classic, Leeds and Futch have also released two new original tracks. This includes “Every Day’s a Holiday,” a celebration of being together, and “The Christmas Tree,” which tells the story of her decorating her tree for the first time.
“Whoa! Another Christmas Album” is now available to stream on Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube.
