Lil Wayne talks to Apple Music about new song ‘Can’t Nobody’ (feat. DMX)

It’s my brother first and foremost… Swizz. That’s how we work. We get billions of bangers and just pick one whenever the mood strikes. That said, the world could end, and I don’t know if it will end on social media. If it didn’t happen through sports, I wouldn’t know it happened. Did I mention I have?? I don’t even know about the list.

Ranked #7 on Billboard’s Top 50 Rappers of All Time list…

Man, who the heck is in front of me? Was ALLLL hip hop on the list like Before After? I can handle it…everyone you named. They also know I’m number one. ask em. they know what it is.

About the rap competition…

This is creativity. No one stands behind a mic, walks up to a song, and says, “I’m making a song, and I can make it better than this.” If we all approached it that way, yeah, it would be a competition. All individuals who create, this is their individuality. They are growing and creative for your enjoyment. But I also know that this is what the world does, so no problem.

On what fans can expect from ‘Tha Carter 6’

Everyone already knows…you already know…come on…it’s the Carter 6.I didn’t even imagine. It didn’t sound right years ago. I can’t believe I’m in Carter Six. My fans know I’m doing my best. Listen to my last feature and know it’s 1000 times better than it is.

On supporting Drake early on…

It was easy for me. It was clear. I saw what he could be and what he would be. It was easy to motivate him and keep him informed of what it was. You have to see it to believe it. singing with me It was that simple. He knew “I could hit a joint with you” – that was his motivation.

On being a singular force in hip-hop…

To be honest… There are points where I look around and I’m not even sure if anyone is going to come down this road with me. So you never feel alone because you are always inspired. Inspiration grows and I work with people who love watching them grow. I am lucky to have these people around me. The last tour I got off was his Blink-182. After all, it’s attending country music awards and touring with Blink 182. Not many rappers in this position can say they’ve done it. I am standing alone on that mountain.

As for how he stays healthy…

When I was 19, I moved to Miami. my mother was a chef. New Orleans was crazy, so her mother was very happy to move. One of the things she really wanted from me was to get her personal chef. So you’re not just eating something. So from age 19 to now, I’ve always had a personal chef. I haven’t eaten fast food in forever. I don’t know what McDonald’s smells like. The only Jim I know is Jim Jones. I can’t lift weights. I don’t exercise

As for what appeals to him about skateboarding…

Outside of that activity, it was camaraderie for me. Going to public parks.
