The 2023 Roots Picnic returns to Mann Center in Philadelphia on June 3-4. Diddy and The Roots, Lauryn Hill celebrate her 25th anniversary. Lauryn Hill Misconceptions Album, Lil Uzi Vert.
Presented by The Roots and Live Nation Urban, the three-day event kicks off June 2 at the Phillies Wells Fargo Center with a stand-up comedy show and concert Dave Chappelle and The Roots.
“Roots Picnic Weekend returns to Philadelphia June 2-4, 2023! We partnered with @livenationurban to bring you three days of black culture, music, comedy and podcasts in one of the world’s most beautiful cities. We will deliver!!!!” the organizers announced on Instagram on Monday (February 20).
Other artists performing at the annual hip-hop and R&B festival include Ari Lennox, City Girls, Maverick City, DJ Drama, Lucky Daye, Syd, GloRilla, Kindred the Family Soul, State Property Reunion, and “Live Mixtape.” And so on. From Black Thought featuring Busta Rhymes and Eve.
This year’s event will also include a podcast stage featuring Charlamagne Tha God. Off the record with DJ Akademiks, don’t call me white girl, Angela Yee lip service, People’s Party of Talib Kweliand Questlove Supreme.
The fan club pre-sale will begin on Tuesday (February 21) at 12:00 PM ET, with the general sale going on Wednesday at 10:00 AM ET via therootspicnic.com.
