James has joined the lineup for this year’s South Facing Festival.
The band, which is celebrating 40 years together, will be joined by special guest Happy Mondays when they play London’s Crystal Palace Bowl in August.
James formed in Manchester in the early 1980s and have been very successful ever since, with their recent Top 5 albums selling over 25 million copies.
The band’s 2021 arena tour was their biggest-selling and most successful tour to date, but they’re also gearing up to release a double album later this year.
James joins the festival with iconic rock band Happy Mondays, formed in Salford in 1980.
The group is widely regarded as one of the most influential bands of the decade and is also considered an integral part of Manchester’s music scene.
Happy Mondays, which includes Sean Ryder, Gary Whelan, Rowetta, Mark ‘Bez’ Berry, Mark Day and Dan Broad, first achieved chart success in the UK in the 80’s before finding fame and success abroad. I got it.
The band’s hits include “Step On” and “Kinky Afro”.
Happy Mondays and James will get together to play at the iconic Crystal Palace Bowl on August 11th.
The festival will feature big name artists such as Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, Rudimental, First Aid Kit and Craig David.
South Facing Festival is set to launch in 2021 and bring together an unbeatable line-up of artists across multiple musical genres, including rap, indie, rock and pop.
Festival tickets go on sale March 3 at 10am. Tickets are available at https://southfacingfestival.com/.
