Hiawatha Music Co-Op to host ‘Kids Campfire Concert’ at Campfire CoWorks


Marquette, Michigan (WLUC) – Hiawatha Music Co-Op is gearing up for concerts this week at a new location in Marquette. It’s called “Kids Campfire Concert”.

Local musicians Papa Crow and Kelly Yost perform traditional songs for children 10 and under. The concert will be held at the Campfire CoWorks in the Masonic Building on West Washington Street.

Hiawatha performances are usually held at The Fold on Third Street. However, the building recently suffered from water damage. The group’s executive director said they were thrilled to be able to hold concerts in the new space.

“Thursday night we’re having a kids campfire concert in this big beautiful community space the kids have here. It’s really tickling to have a really cool place to do a concert.” It’s a cool space,” said Terry Bockland, executive director of Hiawatha Music Co-op.

“We try to reach an audience of 10 and under, songs specifically for them, but also traditional songs that all children and families can relate to,” says musician Jeff Krebs (Papa Crow). ) says.

The concert will take place on Thursday, January 26th from 6-7pm at the Campfire CoWorks in the Mason Building.

If you eat at Delft Bistro before or after the event, 15% of your bill will be donated to Hiawatha Music Co-Op.
