Foo Fighters: “We’re Going to Be a Different Band Going Forward”


Following the death of drummer Taylor Hawkins, the Foo Fighters vowed to continue as “another band” in a message posted on New Year’s Eve.

“The Foo Fighters were formed 27 years ago to represent the healing power of music and the continuation of life.” statement read. “And over the past 27 years, our fans have built a community around the world.A dedicated support system has helped us all get through the darkest times together. It’s a place to share joys and pains, hopes and fears, and get involved.Without Taylor, we wouldn’t be the band we are today, and without Taylor, we’ll never be the same again. Hawkins was found dead in a Colombian hotel room in March, just before the Foo Fighters were to perform at the Estereo Picnic Festival in Bogotá. held two remaining All-Star tribute concerts. It took place at Wembley Stadium in London on September 3rd and Kia Forum in Los Angeles on September 27th.
