Last night (February 25th), Fear Factory was due to put on its first show in almost seven years. Not to mention rookie singer Milo’s first show with Silvestro was in San Francisco, California. for harsh winter weather.
As previously reported by Loudwire, Fear Factory were set to kick off their rescheduled ‘Rise of the Machines’ tour (which also features Static-X, Dope, Mushroomhead and Twiztid) at The Fillmore. Sadly, heavy snowfall combined with a strict travel ban prevented them from playing.
Last night, the band posted a photo of themselves standing in the snow to Instagram.
Due to extreme weather conditions here in California, Fear Factory will not be playing the first show of their ‘Rise Of The Machine’ tour at the Fillmore in San Francisco. Despite our best efforts, the California Highway Patrol does not allow anyone to drive through the “Grape Vine” Tejon Pass on I-5 for safety reasons. I did. We apologize to anyone who bought tickets to meet us, but we promise we’ll be back. We will be back on tour with @staticxofficial in Portland, Oregon.
Their announcement received both supportive and ironic responses. Specifically, one fan proclaimed, “I’m glad you’re okay. I love you,” while another proclaimed, “I love you.” I can’t wait to see Milo do his thing live. ”
Elsewhere, someone was joking. Similarly, another supporter said: What’s so dangerous when there’s a little snow! ”
Thankfully, Static-X understood perfectly. They wrote on Twitter: But don’t worry. Both Static-X and + DOPE + are here and can’t wait to see you all tonight!!”

Luckily, it won’t be long before both bands are finally able to share the stage (and Silvestro will be properly introduced to the audience). In fact, his second show on the “Rise of the Machines” tour takes place tomorrow night (February 27) at the Roseland Theater in Portland, Oregon.
