Drake performs at Apollo with 21 Savage, Dipset, teases new music

NEW YORK – Drake welcomes the New Year with gratitude. The way he looks is just a little bit different from normal people.

The Canadian rapper returned to the stage for the first time in years on Saturday night, making his debut at the Apollo Theater.

The concert was a victory lap for Drake. Drake turned completely to his element, smashing out his hits and hinting at new musical possibilities.

He created the show to create vignettes that reflected his beginnings acting in “Degrassi” and writing rhymes in his bedroom. His rise in the face of record label rejection. And his influence and collaborators, many of whom he brought to Harlem’s historic venues.

“I wanted this to be a show about gratitude. This was a little story that we put together. To each one of my family, dear friends and everyone who has supported me over the years. deep love,” he said. “Not to mention how long. It sounds like we’re all getting older.”

His mother Sandy, producer Noah “40” Shebib, and longtime friend Odell Beckham Jr. were in attendance to conclude the show with appearances from Dipsett and 21 Savage. The rapper’s biggest and newest songs.

"I wanted this to be a show of appreciation. This was a little story we put together. Deep love to my family, dear friends and each and every one of you who have supported me over the years." Drake said during a concert at the Apollo Theater.

“I wanted to express how deeply I appreciate being in this position,” Drake said. And it’s really about me, but it’s about us because I feel like we’ve been in a relationship for a long time.”
