Next year marks the 20th anniversary of the UK’s historic Download Festival. A massive line-up of over 60 bands has been announced to play to celebrate the milestone. In addition, Metallica will perform two sets throughout the weekend without repeating any songs.
A four-night special edition of Download Festival will take place June 8-11 at Castle Donington. Bring Me The Horizon and Slipknot headline Thursday and Sunday nights respectively, with performances from Disturbed, Alexonfire, Ghost, Evanescence, Parkway Drive, The Distillers, Architects, I Prevail and more. is also planned.

Metallica’s two sets will take place on Friday and Saturday nights, each one completely unique. That means fans won’t get twice as much of him on Metallica if they attend both nights, as the song never repeats.
“We are delighted to announce that we will be celebrating Download Festival’s 20th anniversary on not only two days, June 8th and 10th, 2023. It has been over ten years since our last visit to Castle Donington. , making up for lost time with two unique and completely different setlists that don’t repeat songs at all that weekend,” Metallica shared in a social media post.
The Legends have faced Castle Donington only eight times in their career. They performed at the large Monsters of Rock festival between 1985 and 1995.
