The first band in country music history to have a No. 1 debut single play Saturday at 8 p.m. at the Renaissance Theater.
Diamond Rio is known for dozens of hit songs, including “Meet in the Middle,” “How Your Love Makes Me Feel,” and “One More Day.”
The band has sold 10 million records and amassed 3 platinum and 5 gold albums in its career. “I Made It” is Diamond Rio’s latest release and his tenth release overall.
In addition, Diamond Rio has won four Group of the Year Awards from the Country Music Association, two Top Vocal Group Awards from the Academy of Country Music, and one Grammy Award.
The band is known for their vocal harmonies, various instruments, and almost exclusive use of band members instead of session musicians in their recordings.
Diamond Rio has the same line-up since 1989
Formed in Nashville, Tennessee, Diamond Rio has maintained the same line-up since 1989, after previously changing lineups.
The band signed Arista Nashville in 1991 after assuming the name Diamond Rio. By 2006 he had over 30 charted singles, four of which reached his No. 1 spot.
The band’s sound was originally defined by mainstream country, bluegrass and rock influences, but later albums were influenced more by Christian country music and country pop.
In addition to ten studio albums, Diamond Rio has released four Greatest Hits compilations and one Christmas music album.
The band members also released their first autobiography, Beautiful Mess: A Tale of Diamond Rio, from Thomas Nelson in 2009.
Known for their philanthropic endeavors, including longtime spokespersons for Big Brothers Big Sisters, the band has raised over $1 million for nonprofits and won the Minnie Pearl Humanitarian Award.

The show opens with country singer/songwriter Mo Pitney performing in Cincinnati on Friday night.
