Corey Taylor Finishes Recording Second Solo Album


A busy Corey Taylor has officially finished recording his follow-up through the 2020s. CMFTMore.

The Slipknot and Stone Sour frontman began recording his second solo album in early January at Hideout Recording Studios in Las Vegas. Jay RustonThe producer has previously worked with the likes of Steel Panther and Anthrax.

That sentiment seems to be shared by Taylor, who shared a video of herself heading into the studio to start recording on Jan. 21. In the clip, Taylor’s enthusiasm for the new album was evident.

I’m really, really excited. So, this time everything is bigger. everything sounds good. everything is going well. Everything is hot. This is where I go, not where I come from. Musically it’s harder and faster, but it still has a lot of the elements of the first album. So there’s the Slipknot element, there’s the Stone Sour element, there’s the . CMFT; There are elements of what I’ve been doing for years… everything I’ve always wanted to do, and we’re doing it. We’re just cranking it up and everything sounds so good I can’t even begin to describe how excited I am to get this started. But first, we need to record it.
