Charlie Simpson drops new EP after winning The Masked Singer


Charlie Simpson has released a new EP of songs he performed on ‘The Masked Singer’.

Busted and the Fightstar frontman were named winners of the ITV Reality Singing Competition on Saturday night (18.02.23) after performing in disguise as Rhino.

After winning the show, Charlie announced on Instagram, So he decided to release a few songs he sang on the show as his EP named ‘KIFARU’ which is Swahili for Sai.

“I hope you like it. Big love.”

“KIFARU” includes his original song “I See You” plus Charlie’s version of “Use Somebody” from Lewis Capaldi’s “Before You Go, Kings of Leon” and Snow Patrol’s “Chasing Cars”. I’m here.

Speaking about his experience on the show, Charlie said: The scariest thing was memorizing the lyrics. He often forgets the lyrics to his songs on stage!”

Charlie also confessed to being pessimistic about his chances of winning the show at the start of the contest.

Nevertheless, he was determined to enjoy the program regardless of the results.

When asked by host Joel Dommett if he thought he could win the series, the pop star replied, “No, I was like, ‘Remember the lyrics and have fun.'”

Early on in the show, Natalie Appleton was unmasked as Fawn.

The 49-year-old pop star was the first finalist to be unmasked after receiving the fewest public votes.

After her departure was confirmed, Natalie, who is best known as a member of British girl group All Saints, said:

Meanwhile, Kaiser Chiefs frontman Ricky Wilson was later unmasked as Phoenix.

The judges were stunned when Ricky, 45, removed his mask. Especially since Rita Ora had previously worked with him on ‘The Voice UK’.
