Ice Jam in January is a free, two-day, indoor bluegrass music festival taking place this Friday and Saturday at the nearby Ramada by Wyndham Beaver Falls hotel.
“Bluegrass music, fun, family and traditions are what have made the January Ice Jam so successful over the past 25 years,” said Amy George, co-founder of the event. increase.
Held at the Days Inn in Butler County, which was sold last year, the festival moves to the Wyndham Beaver Falls Ballroom at 7195 Eastwood Drive in Big Beaver and features 24 bluegrass acts live on stage. .
Notable acts include New Galilee Family Band Echo Valley, who performed at Pittsburgh’s Three Rivers Arts Festival and Dollywood Theme Park’s Main Stage, and Tiger, who has hosted national acts at venues such as Jargels Rhythm Grill and Mr. Smalls. The festival’s premier “get” is Middleground, which plays both Friday and Saturday, gearing up for appearances at the Bluegrass Music Society’s Preservation Society convention in Nashville.

The event is free, but funds will be raised through basket raffles, 50/50 raffles, instrument raffles, donations and merchandise sales and will be donated to the Bluegrass Relief Fund.
