Annual continuation Barack Obama shared his personal playlist of the year’s best songs, including tracks from Kendrick Lamar, Beyoncé, Lizzo, SZA, Rosalía, and more to create the former president’s 2022 must-listen list.
“I always enjoy sharing my end of year music playlist with you guys. I heard so many great songs this year,” Obama tweeted on Friday. “Here are some of my favorites.”
As usual, Obama’s playlist ranges from Afrobeat (Burna Boy’s “Last Last,” Aria Starr’s “Rush”) and reggae (Coffey’s “Pull Up”) to indie pop (Maggie I’ve been exposed to many genres of music, right up to Rodgers’ “That’s Where I Am”). ) from indie folk (“American Teenager” by Ethel Kane) to hip-hop (“The Heart Pt. 5” by Kendrick Lamar, “Belize” including Danger Mouse, Black Thought, MF DOOM) to R&B (“Home Maker” by Sudan Archives). ) ).
