As well as – what happened in a recent episode Chris Roberts’ The Nine Clubwhere they recounted some amusing incidents involving the late Pantera drummer Vinnie Paul.
The fun begins at about 26 minutes into the episode, when Bam’s older brother, CKY’s Jess Margera, asks: [of] Vinnie Paul? ”
Bam cheerfully replies: He jumped on the drums and started playing, and the manager—”
“No, you made him.
“Speaking of Vinnie,” continues Bam. The 20-hour flight made him very tired. [that] He wakes up and asks, “How long is the flight?” I – no, he asked, “When are you taking off?” I was like, ‘We took off 20 hours ago. We landed. We’re here now. He’s like, ‘Huh? Like, just then.
Jess then recalls: He thought we were still at the hotel. I’m like, “Okay, we’re on the plane.”
“So when he hits the drums, the manager of this nice hotel comes up and says, ‘You better stop playing now! This is in the lobby! I was like, ‘How about you?! Who is he?’ Did you know? It’s Vinnie Paul from Pantera! He’s one of the best drummers on the planet,” recalls Bam.
Then, laughing, he remembered slapping his manager in the face and declared, “You should be ashamed of yourself!”
From there, Jess explains that the man “just took it” because he “didn’t know it was a Pantera man.” Unsurprisingly, Paul continued playing while the manager walked away.
A great moment between two legends. Luckily, this is one of several worthy stories told by the Margera family during the episode, so be sure to check it all out below.
