Australian Pop Trio Blusher Signs With Atlantic


Brisbane, Australia — Three-piece Australian pop outfit Brasher is the latest signing with Atlantic Records. billboard can be revealed exclusively.

Melbourne natives and formed in 2021, Blusher made all the right noises with their debut with the independently released ‘Softly Spoken’.

The song for 2022 is a piece of euphoric pop, has support from national youth network Triple J and its Unearthed sister station, is nearing 1 million plays on Spotify, and is featured in New Pop Picks and Fresh Finds. It was featured in several playlists such as

Carrie West, Atlantic Senior Director of A&R, admits she was “overwhelmed” when she saw the band live. “Blusher embody the next generation of empowered female artists. Blusher’s career is led by Powerhouse Management’s Jamie-Rose Fowler (George Alice, Japanese Wallpaper, INXS, ex-YUNGBLUD) and Charlotte Ried (Polish Club, Gretta Ray, Matt Corby, ex-Vera Blue).

Atlantic’s newly signed members consist of Miranda Ward, Lauren Coutts and Jade Ingberson Phablet, all of whom were solo artists before forming acts during the pandemic.

They produce and write together, share vocals on many songs, and swap instruments during live outs, including a showcase at the Bigsound conference in Brisbane.
