Adele jokes about becoming ‘constant meme’ after viral Super Bowl video

Adele has joked about becoming “meme material” after her viral Super Bowl video.

Earlier this month, clips of the Hello singer making enthusiastic facial expressions and gestures before Rihanna’s Super Bowl halftime show began circulating on social media.

At a concert in Las Vegas on Friday, Adele spoke about the popularity of the video.

“Being a constant meme is hard work,” the British songstress sighed, according to footage obtained by Just Jared. Maybe it’s because I’m not doing botox or anything like that every time I go out, but… my face moves a lot.”

Adele didn’t know she was being filmed at the Super Bowl until people started showing memes to her.

The star also confirmed what she said in the video.

“Everybody emailed me memes of themselves. I didn’t know what I looked like,” the 34-year-old continued. “[Rihanna]said she was fine. She wants to eat weed and get well. But obviously she can’t have weed because she’s pregnant!”

During the spectacle, Rihanna revealed that she is pregnant with her second child with partner A$AP Rocky.
