The Road to Corelli: Music of the Italian Baroque Masters 3:00 p.m. at the Somerville Museum, 1 Westwood Road, Spring Hill. $20. Works by Frescobaldi, Legrenzi, Loggnoni and Corelli performed by Torres Marasienne with his gambas, archlutes and baroque guitars. Click here for information.

Patricia Thaxton Exhibition Reception It takes place from 6-8pm at Gallery 344, 2nd Floor, City Hall Annex, 344 Broadway, Mid Cambridge. free. Thaxton’s “The Beauty of Everyday Living” was printed on the vinyl scrim surrounding Harvard’s Square kiosk during construction. See how Thaxton created the printed mural. MIT Museum After Dark MIT Museum, 314 Main St., Kendall Square, 6-9 p.m. General admission for this 21+ person event is $20. The monthly event adds demonstrations, tastings and interactive play, and features a gallery, live music, cash bar, food and drink from Turtle Swamp Brewing, Moyzilla, and the Crane River Cheese Club.
